Mr John Mitchell MBChB, FRCS(Tr & Orth)

John Mitchell is an established hip surgeon in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. He was appointed in 2003 to a consultant post in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Harrogate District Hospital. He also consults privately at the Duchy BMI Hospital, and is a member of the Yorkshire Orthopaedics and Spinal Surgery group.

Having qualified from Bristol University in 1991, John completed his basic surgical training in Manchester and a Wishbone Trust research fellowship in Plymouth. Following this, John completed his orthopaedic higher surgical training in Yorkshire and a hip fellowship in Leeds. Further training in hip resurfacing in Cardiff followed, along with minimally invasive hip surgery in Munich.

John now offers a full and contemporary treatment of the adult arthritic hip, specialising in hip resurfacing and hip replacement.
